[Middx.] A. 2699. Grant by Roger Wastel, citizen of London, and Alice his
wife, late the wife of Henry le Wimpler, to Sir Adam de Strattone, clerk,
for 70 marcs, of land with houses thereon in the parish of St. Sepulchre
without Neugate in the suburb of London, extending from the high road
called ' la Bailie ' to the Flete ditch, which John de Laufare, clerk,
bequeathed by will to the said Alice ; paying the abbot of Westminster
I8d. yearly, and 6*. to the canons of St. Martin the Great, London.
Witnesses : Sir Ralph de Sandwyco, Warden, Walter Hauteyn and Thomas
Cros, sheriffs of London, and others (named). [15 Edward I.] Two
