Lease, indented, by Thomas Cros and Edmund Horn, Wardens of the Bridge House of London, and the brethren of the same place, to John Cros, Fishmonger, for 20 years from Michaelmas 20 Ed I (1292), for the annual render to the Wardens and brethren of 18s., and to Thomas Cros of 3s. 9d., of their shop in Breggestrate in the parish of St Magnus, between the shop of Adam de Fulham, major, and Adam de Fulham, minor , on the S. and the shop formely belong to Cecilia de Fulham on the N, and abutting at the W end upon the house of the heir of miles de Grptergate, and at the E end upon Breggestrate: the lessors to maintain the same in repair at their own costs and to rebuild it if destroyed in a fire orginating elsewhere; but the lessess to be responsible if it is burned in a fire originated on the presmises.
