S. 25 fo. 9v), (fn. 3) but perhaps appd. before May 1162 by his uncle, Richard de Belmeis II, bp. of London (1152-62) (G.F. p. 286). Occ. this preb. [1174 × 80] (Gibbs no. 160), and 1183/4 (G.F.L. no. 403). Last occ. 1183/4 (ibid.), and [c. 1185] (A/33/702), (fn. 4) but perhaps occ. later [c. 1181 × 1187] (G.F.L. no. 405), and prob. still alive 25 July 1184 or 1185 (Gibbs no. 223). Son of Robert de Belmeis, and nephew of Richard de Belmeis II, bp. of London (Gibbs no. 69). |
