The cathedral church of Chichester showing the nave, chancel, and round-headed doorway, with a detached circular western tower; the roof apparently of thatch or shingles: on the roof a superstructure in three arcaded stories with pinnacles. On the gables, the tower, and the roof of the chancel a cross; in the field above, two stars, below, legend. Surrounding legend. On the back is soldered a loop-handle expanding into foliage in three branches. In the middle of the upper part an incised cross, to indicate the top of the seal. |
