Mar)tins Le grand lo(ndon) bought in compliance with the terms of the Will ofr the support of a chaplain to celebrate masses in perpetuity for his soul and othersw in st martin's church , viz., a yearly quit rent of 2 1/2 marks from the whole tenement held by ralph crispus, Pepperer of London in the parish of st. dunstant west: likewise from hugh de northfolch, citizen of london, a year's quit rent of 20s. from the whole land of teh said Hugh in the parish of St. margaret patines: also from the same hugh a quit rent of 5s. from land bequeathed by william sabelin to the said church of st margaret: also from robert goteleye a yaerly quit rent of 1 mark from the whole land formerly held by robert le sayere in st andrew's parish neat eastchep (EAST cheap) , also from Elen relict of William BLancgernon and john his son a yearly quit rent of 12s. from the whole tenement held by geoffrey marescallus in the parish of st. sepulchre's without newegate, opposite its gate: all which rents were assigned by the said william de Bradewelle to the dean and chapter of st. martin's witn. mag. adam de fileley canon of st. martin's robert de bretton, chaplain, robert de norton, chaplain, johan adrian, mayor of london, henry le waleys and gregory de rokesle, sheriffs, and others (ad 1270) green seal
