[1274-5] Grant by Walter son of Robert le Flemyng of Bixle to Eustace prior and convent of Holy Trinity of 2s. p.a. of quit rent which the grantor had from the whole tenement of Osbert son of Richard le Chapman of Hakeneye formerly of Stephen le Gardiner and Florence his wife beside Estsmethefeld; abutments, the land of Edmund the Bedell on the south and the land of Nicholas the clerk on the north and containing throughout its length the same width of 9/ ells and extending from the street to the land of Edmund Trentmars on the east; free entry and exit to distrain is granted; if this tenement is not distrainable, the grantor grants that the canons may enter all the lands which he has of their gift once of Stephen le Quernbetere in the parish of St. Botolph and take naam therein; [f. 160v] the canons gave 18s.; sealed; witnesses, Gregory de Rokesle, mayor, Henry de Frowyk, Luke de Batincourt, sheriffs, Edmund Trentmars, William Tanner, John Hervey. |
