[1294-1302] Agreement between Stephen prior and convent and John de Cambio of Canterbury, clerk, that the prior and convent have granted to John a piece (placea) of land; abutments, the tenement of Agnes de la More on the east, a tenement of the aforesaid John on the west, the tenement of John le Cofferer on the south and between the great garden of the priory on the north; the grantee, his heirs and assigns to cause to be made their own fence (propriam clausuram) and maintain it; the piece contains 12 perches in length and 10 perches in width; rent 9s. 3d. p.a.; the said John ex Cambio [f. 151] granted to the prior and convent a certain piece (quandam particulam) of the above-mentioned tenement lying between the great garden on the east and the new garden of the priory on the west and between the land of the said John on the south and that of the bishop of London on the north, containing in length 304 perches and in width 5 perches; exchange sealed by both parties; witnesses, Edmund Trentmars, Peter Berneval, John Pottere.
