445. Confirmation, in pure and perpetual alms, by William son of William of Westminster to the Lady Altar of 4d. rent, to provide lights for this altar. The rent is due annually from Geoffrey Picot, from land which he holds of William in Longditch Street, and which the bp. of Exeter and his successors hold of Geoffrey and his heirs. The proctor of the Lady Altar is to receive the rent annually from Geoffrey and his heirs.

Sciant presentes et futuri quod ego Willelmus filius Willelmi de Westmonasterio dedi et concessi et hac mea presenti carta confirmavi Deo et altari Beate Marie in ecclesia Westmonasterii quatuor denariatos redditus in puram et perpetuam elemosinam ad invenienda luminaria coram prefate Dei Genitricis Marie altari, quos videlicet quatuor denariatos redditus Galfridus Pycot et heredes sui tenentur michi solvere per annum, et heredibus meis, de terra quam prefatus Galfridus Picot de me teneti in Langedich'strate, quam videlicet terram episcopus Exoniensis et successores sui de prefato Galfrido tenent et heredibus suis. Custos vero predicti altaris, qui pro tempore ibidem luminaria administraverit, prefatos quatuor denariatos redditus integre et plenarie, sine diminutione, de prefato Galfrido et heredibus suis percipiet singulis annis absque calumpnia vel reclamatione aut etiam prohibitione mei vel heredum meorum. Ego vero Willelmus et heredes mei prefatam elemosinam quatuor denariorum predicto altari contra omnes homines warantizabimus, et contra omnes feminas.
