MS: WAD, f. 556.
Rubric: Carta Johannis filii Edwardi de uno mesuagio in Westmonasterio.
Date: John succeeded his father some time before 30 Oct. 1197 (Fines 9 Ric. I, 55, no. 79; cal. Fines London and Mddx, I, no. 10). The attestation of Theobald of Feering, as seneschal, indicates a date within the abbacy of William Postard. The absence of the official titles of William of Ely and Robert Mauduit is not significant, since this text is not the original. |
