Rubric: Carta Radulfi abbatis Westmonasterii de tota terra quam Thomas frater Pancracii ecclesie (nostre)c (Westmonasteri)i dedit in
villa Westmonasterii.
Date: Ralph Fitz Stephen, perhaps to be identified with the recipient, d. 1202 x 1203 (Cart. Darley, I, xxiii).
Note: Ralph Fitz Stephen held another, less valuable, tenancy in Longditch, of Odo the goldsmith (442). The curialis Ralph Fitz Stephen would prob. need premises in Westminster. He did not normally style himself 'of Boulogne', but his first wife had been vicomtesse of Rouen (Cart. Dailey, I, xxiii). |
