260. Confirmation by Abbot Gervase of the grant made by John son of Ralf to the church of St Pancras (Lewes) of the land Aluric Lambesheavod held in London, and two tenements which Wibert of Arras held of Westminster; St Pancras will hold all these for a total rent of 5s. a year. [1138 x 1157]
Gervasius abbas Westmonasterii et totus conventus vicecomiti et omnibus baronibus Lundonie, salutem. Sciant presentes et futuri nos concessisse et confirmasse donationem quam Johannes filius Radulfi dedit eccle8ie Sancti Pancratii: videlicet, de terra quam AEluricus Lambesheavod tenuit in Lundonia et duas terras quas Wibertus de Arraz de nobis tenebat. Has terras concedimus ecclesie Sancti Pancratii de Leues ad tenendum de nobis, reddendo ecclesie nostre de terra AElurici Lambesheavod ii solidos per annum, et de terris Wiberti iij solidos. Et ita volumus ut bene et in pace predicta ecclesia Sancti Panchratii de ecclesia nostra teneat, quamdiu hos v solidos bene et legaliter reddideriti his terminis: ad Pascha xxx denarios, ad Festum Sancti Michaelis xxx denarios. Hiis testibus: Petro Aldermanno, Alwardo presbitero, Radulfo de Arund', Rogero Pepercon, Ivone mercen[ario], AEadwardo Winpl', Willelmo filio Radulfi et aliis pluribus.
