383 Bond given by John son of John le Mymmes to Alexander le Orbatur for 40s. to be paid within four years as from 29 Sept. 1249. Surety is land with houses which Alexander holds of John for a term of sixteen years. Rent for this land is 4d. to John, 3$. iid. to the dean of St Paul's, 35. iid. to John de Rothomago, and the upkeep of a light in the Church of St Botolph on Sundays and festivals. If 40s. is paid after four years the land will revert to John after sixteen years. If the money is not paid, Alexander will keep the land. Wit.
